Somatic Therapy & Counselling
Hi, I am so glad you are here!

There is a profound and inseparable link between our minds and bodies. This connection is at the core of the human experience. I truly believe the path to healing lies in integrating the wisdom of the body and our mind's capacity for self-reflection. Somatic therapy and counselling is a holistic and transformative approach rooted in the belief that each of us possesses an innate wholeness that we can reconnect with regardless of our past experiences. If you choose to work with me, our journey together will dive into this transformative power of the mind-body connection using it to help guide you towards a more integrated and vibrant self.

Empowerment through connection to the body
My Approach
My approach is trauma-informed and influenced by polyvagal, attachment, psychodynamic and systemic theories. These frameworks help guide my work in fostering connection and support for self-exploration. I draw on Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, and Compassionate Inquiry approaches to help foster change. Together, we will work towards increasing your ability to integrate and understand your experiences so that you can choose your next steps forward, whether that is improving or developing coping skills to increase your well-being and navigating life, healing from past experiences and trauma or developing strategies and skills to achieve your goals. Our journey together is about rediscovering your strength, your resilience, and the infinite potential for growth that is within you. It's about moving forward with a sense of empowerment and self-awareness, crafting a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
Somatic Therapy and Counselling
Counselling is a top-down strategy; it offers a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and relationships, helping you understand yourself more deeply and discover healthier ways to cope. This can ease anxiety, lift low moods, and bring a greater sense of clarity and balance.
Somatic therapy is a bottom-up strategy; it works with the body–mind connection, supporting your body to release nervous system stress responses and heal from the impacts of trauma. By tuning into your body’s wisdom, you can develop more self-awareness and create lasting change from the inside out. Together, these approaches offer a holistic path to healing—caring for both your mind and your body.
Doing this inner work isn’t always easy—it can feel challenging at times. That’s why many people choose online therapy. Being in your own space often feels more comfortable and makes it easier to open up at your own pace.
The Benefits of Online Therapy
Online therapy gives you flexibility and convenience. You can meet with a therapist from the comfort of your home, saving travel time and making it easier to fit sessions into your day. It also makes therapy accessible if you live in a rural or remote area, have limited mobility, or prefer the privacy of connecting online.
Many people also find that online sessions feel more personal and safe, helping them share openly about sensitive topics. Online therapy is a convenient, private, and accessible way to seek professional help and support for mental health and well-being and can give you the chance to heal, grow, and feel more at ease in a way that works best for you.
